Scott - Most are on acrylic gesso, I think a few might be on a "binder" medium I got with my Atelier Acrylic stuff. Very glossy tho. I prefer the gesso.

This sculptures (ninots) are made for the "Fallas" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falles#Falles_.26_ninots ) a traditional celebration in Valencia, Spain.
