Cloak

The only thing I found interesting about this was that I made an image hose of abstract junk that I used to quickly scrub texture into the ground with it. I smeared it up but it started out a bit. to get a sparth-mullins-photoshop-like effect. Found some shapes in there too. It's nice to have the option in painter. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to use the imagehose to paint with the current color. I had to use 50% ish grey patterns for the hose and then paint on a screen or multiply layer. It worked fine for a largely monochromatic surface like this, but I don't know how useful for a more dynamic palette.

Excellent. I really like the color and I like that you chose to tilt it.
this one's uber nice. makes me want the toy. when will the toy be in stores.
I agree with Alex, I too want the toy :) Textures look cool on the ground and like the overall mood/colour.
Nice painting, Mark. I like the colors on the beastie.
that's great Mark! I think Sci-Fi comes quite naturally for you and your style.

Cool creature and composition!
I really like this! The creature design is cool and (it's previously been mentioned but) the tilted angle is awesome.
I've found you! (I'm not a wierdo stalker, but have admired your work for ages, and just found your blog, great!).

Hey gang, I showed this to Mark, but in case you're interested I found a way to change the image hose color influence. See it here:
